Do the snowflakes wheels come in two sizes? 17 and 18?

 

I have only ever seen them in 17...and I've spent a fair amount of time looking for OEM Toyota wheels on craigslist and FB.

 

Only reason am asking is because I saw a CL ad with the guy claiming they were 18"

People on CL are retards. No telling how many times I see a listing of a vehicle that's an auto but they claimed it's a manual. Or it's a 4 cylinder and they think it's a v6

Good choice kb7! I love these FJ 6-spoke wheels and think they look great on the first gens! found these on Craig's List for a mere $300. Beautiful truck by the way! The first picture was with the stock tires, the second is with the bigger Cooper AT3 4S tires.

Yes, one of the first things I did was have the Bilstien 5100's put on along with a rear sway bar and dual Flowmasters. Ive had the truck about 9 months now, found it on Craig's List for $6500.00. I Absolutely love this truck!

Ha, ha, ha...those center caps look good in blue vinyl also. Hmm, silver-gray and black - Oakland Raider fan? I was until the Seahawks came to be. Looks good.

 

Nah. Went black cause it was all I had years ago to stop the chips from flaking. Easy touch up. They’ll be going back to OEM style color soon with the Toy logo being hand painted red or black? Trying to keep it OEM as much as possible with subtle tweaks per my original MO.

All this will hopefully pay off some day when I become that crazy old man with the non-lifted original low miles 1st Gen Tundra that everyone wants to pay top dollar as she goes to market.

 

Well the silver-gray and black is a true classic color scheme, IMHO. It speaks to me primarily of strength and perfection, and secondly of "old money" wealth, that wealth typically found in families of old aristocracy. Of course this is all subjective...or is it? I also envisioned a touch of paint to the Toyota logo, but ruled it out as too tedious for me to undertake, and a lack of confidence in the final product being precise enough.

As I wait for a break in the weather to do my timing belt (outside), I am considering painting my new radiator hoses with high temp blue, as vaguely suggested earlier by a forum member. I'm somewhat hesitant, though, thinking the paint might not adhere to the rubber sufficiently. I have a Dupli-Color Plastic Adhesion Promoter made for plastic and vinyl, and hope it will help with the paint's adhesion. Then the issue of heat surfaces and I doubt this paint can handle it. What do you think?

 

If I ever change on my 2003 Tundra that is what I may get.

I’d try ‘Chalk Paint’ on that rubber. Sticks to everything. Self priming. Endless color choices. Readily available. Not sure about the high temp action as I’ve no experience with it there, but you could test a small spot and see how it goes. Big Box has it in small portions. Or, can be purchased online.

I think it will work real well.

Not sure if the high temp thing will work so ‘the do it right’ is not 100% certain. I have high confidence though.

I bought these from a gentleman that drives an '06 Tundra Step-side. The Sequoia's also sport the darker rims.

 

Last night i thought i came across Trd Sema Pro Rims. Just to find out they are replicas

 

They’re surprising not too expensive new from Toyota. Under 200 a wheel.

 

Really? This guy swore they were OEM and once he sent me the spec i called him out on them. He went down 100 on his asking price. Idk if i want to buy Chinese knock offs

 

Where did you find them? @Outbound got his on EBay. I don't think his were fake.

 

Found them craiglist lol. I offered him 300 he countered at 400. No center caps. Debating if they worth the buy

 

I mean, $400 for SEMA wheels is essentially half off. That's a good deal if they are in good shape. If they are close enough, go take a look in person.
