In hood light bar?

Howdy.

two questions....
1- will the right in hood light bar really provide that much more illumination?(Because it’s in hood I feel like it could be limited)
2- if the answer to question #1 is “yes”... what brand would the Tundra nation recommend?

Now to your questions-
1.yes
2. Two pretty popular options. First is NSV light bar(cool knight rider option). 2. Get mounts from like SDHQ and use a Baja Designs S8 bar. They are expensive for sure but top quality. I am sure you could find brackets elsewhere or use a cheaper bar. But that is the bar those brackets were designed for.

Edit: that bar in clear lense is good for like just over 25,000 lumens.

I love my BSV light bar. Very bright! A bit gimmicky but I love it. Especially the daytime running lights which I use daily. The swipe is fun but not really practical. I love that it comes with a plug and play switch panel which is clean looking and hi-tech. As far as light output it’s a very good amount for being hidden in the hood. It’s also low-pro so I’m not worried too much about the coppers.

 

Another plus is it's practically Theft-Proof!

I have the NSV and love it
I get a lot of people pointing at it when I arm and unarm it as it flashes the knight rider light at them.

If i turn it on on a back road it blinds me when a sign appears.

I like it because it fits and fits perfect, I get more usbs out of it and the control panel is nice but wish it was in a better location.

 

The swipe can be very practical in the right situation like a few weeks ago when my wife called me from her work to tell me she broke her leg...

 

I light that up on the street and I go to PMITA prison in this state.

ETA there isnt all that much in this state that wont send you to jail though.
