Hi from Maine! Just bought a 2014 Tundra Limited. Went back and forth between The Tundra and the F-150. I’m replacing a 2004 F-150 that has served me stoicly for a long time. Was looking for a new F-150. The stats on the brochures was incredible. But when I actually went to buy a truck I found that Ford had a lot of “ifs”, “ands”, and “buts”. Especially when you start talking plows. I’ve always admired the Tundras and while brochure stats came up shorter than the F-150, in reality it just wasn’t apples to apples. I need an ‘all around’ truck and everything I needed was right there in the Tundra with no questions. That just wasn’t the case with the new F-150. It was all pick and choose and sacrifice. When I looked under the Toyota I noticed some pretty significant improvements over the Ford as well. I’m expecting big things from this truck I hope I made the right choice.

Thanks all! I’m really looking forward to this new truck. I feel good about it. It was a tough choice because I am Definitely gonna USE it and my old Ford treated me well. But I gotta tell ya, this thing looks mean everywhere it matters. Toyota did not cheap out underneath. I guess the interior is meh... but I didn’t buy it to look pretty. My fishing buddies and my bird dog aren’t gonna gossip about about the fabric designs . My old Ford is getting about 10 MPG so I’m stoked about getting 14!! Woot!

Welcome! I have owned 3 total. I put in 265,000 miles on. Cost of ownership for 13 years of ownership very inexpensive. The '16 was bought used with 60K and put in 50k on top of it with in 18 months before trading it in with a '20. I expect for the '20 will be my last Tundra. Unless, Toyota do end up making a diesel Tundra.

Welcome fellow Mainer! Not often I see someone else from around here. I’m in southern Maine, on good ol Munjoy Hill in Portland. Anywhere near? You made the right decision, the Tundra will serve you well.

Listen, I really appreciate all the welcomes. I like the fact that there are a few people from my area here. I also really like the fact that there are people who like this vehicle enough create a forum about them. Most of the Tundra problems I see on here are issues with what the door sticker says. That’s a high class problem in my opinion.
