2nd gen Tundra headlight conversion

Hey so I just joined and I have a 2010 Tundra TRD, I just ordered 930DM raceline wheels but I really want to change the look of the headlights, I’m not a big fan of them currently. I’m thinking more of a modern LED type look, taking all suggestions and opinions. Looking for the best bang for the buck but not cheap where it’ll cost me more money in fixing once it breaks

 

Alpharex is the hot thing right now. Or get the Sequioa updated LED's if you have deep pockets.

Alpharex is junk. More and more people are having issues with them.

 

@Headlight Revolution is working on some for Gen2's.

I 100% believe you, but can't find the reports. Where have you been finding them? Private FB groups? I'm trying to convince myself, unequivocally, that they are not worth it.

 

We've tested them in-house before. Not the 2nd Gen Tundra ones in particular, but we've had a couple sets of their Nova Series headlights in and we weren't too impressed to be completely honest. They are way better than Spyder or Spec D Housings for sure! But For the price, I promise you'll be happier with spending a bit more on-top for the Morimotos. My rule of thumb is if you're trying something new, just get the best and be done with the Guesswork.

 

I tried a few ebay lights before ponied up the money for Sequoia OEM lights. Wasted a lot of time and money.

I have done a retrofit on every headlight set I’ve had on my tundra and am currently working on a set of the alpharex.i have a set of spyder v2 headlights that are retrofit if anyone is interested pm me!

Then you'll need to get a harness made, and then get the light filler pieces from the new sequoia, everything bolts right in.

 

I was hoping they were Toyota OEM headlights.

 

Those are OEM toyota lights, TRS just sells them. Or you can try your luck on ebay, you need a pair and a harness to work.

I got 260,00 Spydertechs & pit in LEDs the output was good but the LED tube was invisible in the sun.
They are now taking up space in my garage

I love my Sequoia LEDs
