Strange sound coming from the middle or rear end of the bottom side of the truck. It only starts making the sound when I give it gas. Even then it's not a constant sound. Any ideas what it could be?

Hard to hear it through the wind. I’d start by checking the U joints. Have you serviced them if they have zerk fittings? Also check the carrier bearing. If it’s not that, it could be the transmission but I couldn’t tell you.

Thanks for the insight. No grease fittings on the u joints, they all seem solid with no wiggle room. No trouble shifting or going into gear.
