For the price of all 3 I might as well get a camper shell and call it a day. Registration would go down for me here in California.

Yep they're rated 110 lbs each and just a smaller version of the big ones you have. 1/2 the price too

Im not a contractor so line x is honestly overkill for me. I have a bed mat and a tri fold currently which i love. I could never have a truck without a tri fold from now on. I do want to spray a upol or monstaliner tho

I kind of feel the same @Hbjeff . $600 for LineX or $750 for a tri fold and mat.

It’s not about afford or not. It’s about value. Line x is an amazing product. But im sure more than half of all truck beds sprayed with line x never get used at all.

It’s not really about saving a few hundred @7.62Tundra . It’s more about spending $600-$1000 the best way. I also hear you on being truck poor. This forum will do it to you!!!

I would have to think the term "camper" means the living quarter type. Also, the term permanently attached is probably very important. A regular shell is not permanent. I hope I'm wrong because commercial fees are a decent chunk.

I see your point. Better to have it and not need it for the liner plus it'll help the resale value. But man why would anyone own a pick up and not use the bed? One trip to dump with throwing old shit laying around the house and scratching the paint would pay for it. It really helps the curb appeal at resale time. At least it did for me when I bought mine.

Line-X first, then Rugged 2 tri fold cover and then a bed mat. That was the order I had it done.

I went with tri-fold (Leer) and a bed rug.
If I need to haul sand or dirt I can just lay a tarp down. (Sounds like manual labor and I’m allergic!)

The bed rug works for me because lashing stuff down with Velcro straps works REALLY well. Stuff will *not* move even in a panic stop.

I agree. I obviously have an ARE cap...and Line X IMO is always a no brainer ...and coupled with BEDRUG is the perfect fit if you have dogs that ride in the bed.

I have both but if I had to give one up, I'd give up the liner and go with the mat and tri fold. It's much more likely that I have something in the back that I want to cover and lock vs hauling something that will gouge the bed.

I'm in for all 3. I bought my truck with a roll up tonneau cover and the rubber bed mat both already in there. I have a plastic bedliner in my Tacoma and when I had my Cummins I had one of them cheap $100 kits sprayed in and those both suck compared to the real brand bedliner companies like Line-X. so its on the list to get Line-X soon. I also am debating on a trifold compared to this leather tonneau. I do not have supports in the middle of the bed so mine sags and holds water when it rains and it might not make it through winter snow packup I don't know. anyone got anything to say opinion wise between the roll up tonneau and a tri-fold?

After giving it some thought I think I will probably go with the tri fold and bed mat. I can always do LineX down the road if I want. If the bed gets dinged I can always take the tri fold and mat off and throw in a plastic bed liner for resale if that ever happens.
