Hey guys new to the forum. Got a question that i have yet to find any helpful info. Has anyone seen a thread or know anthing about putting 2-2.5 inches of lift on a bilstein 5100? I know they are made for 0-1" but I'm not flexing my suspension very often. Mostly on road driving and old dirt logging roads. I currently have a 2017 tundra SR5 with bilstein 6112s up front on the highest setting and 5100s in the rear along with the icon 1.5" rear leaf spring expansion pack. The truck is pretty level but i tow more now and im looking to be an 1 inch higher in the rear to account for trailer weight. Bottom line question is well the 5100s hold up with 2-2.5 inches of lift? or will is over extend them?

    thanks!!

5100s would be perfect. In fact I'll trade you a brand new pair for you used 6112s if you pay shipping. PM me

Just adjust the 6100s to the low setting.

I think you both failed reading comprehension.
He’s not asking about the front shocks.
He’s asking if the rear shocks (Bilstein 5100 built for 0-1” lift) are long enough to hold up to 2” of lift since he’s doing only on road driving and he’s not flexing out his truck often.

Well then, I believe they do not recommend a 2" on the 5100, I think they make a long travel version.

Failing reading comprehension is bit of a stretch. I'll admit to glancing over the post and misunderstanding it though.

I called it like I saw it and pointed out the obvious. Stig was being a vulture.
If you consider that as being condescending than you might be a millennial.

The only advantage I was taking over the OP was for some internet laughs. Don't need or want his shocks. Lol

But thanks for trying to explain comprehension so I can better comprehend what you're trying to say

Op, you should consider Firestone Ride Rite airbags. They will keep you level towing. I highly recommend.
