My 1st Milestone...100k miles

I bought ‘ole Bertha seven months ago with 95k miles. We hit our first milestone today, 100k miles. We did it while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, too! I’ve grown to love this truck. I look forward to many more miles behind the wheel. Now, it’s time to start planning a timing belt change.

Time for a transmission service.

 

Does that mean a fluid change or something more?

 

It's a "sealed" transmission...so 3-4x drain and fill is what you want to do...and then check the level when done...she shows you how to do both.

100K is still a baby

 

I take my 2006 to the dealership, they put some kind of additive in to clean the innards and do a total flush, it's the only thing I take it to the dealership for.

 

Liked to talk to her about my dipstick but I digress !

 

Great place to hit 100k miles!

 

I'm a little over 95k and just went through $3,000 in service. Now I don't have worry for the next 10 years

What in all did you have done?

 

Timing belt kit, front cam seals, crank seal, valve cover gasket, upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat, transmission drain filter and fluid, Bilstein 5100's front and back and extended sway bar end links. Switched motor oil brand to liqui moly
