i have a 2016 Tundra and my dashboard gauges only get illuminated when the headlights are on . Arn’t they suppose to be on bright in the daytime and dimmed when the headlights turn on ?

2017 TUNDRA SR5 TRD OFF-ROAD

TRD Pro Grilled, Color match bumper end caps, OEM LED headlights, MX4 Bed cover, GoRhino RB20,TRS LED Fog Lights, Camburg leveling kits, SR8 wheels, STT Pro tires 295/70/18 and heritage decal.

There should be a little turning nob by your speedometer that you can adjust the brightness.

From a 2016 Tundra Owners Manual....circled numbers 2-4 apply and as @TOYOTRD8 mentioned, turn the ODO/TRIP button for Instrument Cluster brightness !
