Thought I was prepared for the steering wheel audio controls installation in my 2005 SR5 DC. Plugged the switches into the Spiral cable connector and "Nothing" from any of the volume, mode or channel buttons. Pulled the radio and found the 20 pin connector on the radio has no harness present (need the GND, SW1 & SW2 wires in the 20 pin) The vehicles radio harness only has 2 plugs - no 20 pin. I found a 20 pin male harness on ebay but I have another problem @ the Spiral cable. The harness does not have the correct wiring either. So I believe in order to get this working I would need a complete donor harness to get this thing even close. i don't have access to a spare harness so I might have to scrap my audio control dream. I really thought the harness would be the same for all trim levels :(

I don't have a gen 1, but I'm pretty sure (from my car audio days) that the 20 pin is for JBL systems that went to the amp that has the 2 harness plug (one is larger than the other).

According to the Snap-On Shop Key wiring diagram the 20 pin also houses all the wires to the rear entertainment.

Find an old harness that has the same size pins as the truck side of the clock spring. Carefully de-pin and push them into their respective locations. You need three wires to run up to the head unit. That’s what I did to mine. It was like 6 years ago so I’m not sure of location but you’ve come this far, seems like you can figure the rest out.

My 05 work spec truck had all the wires except on the radio harness. 3 wires ready it all worked
