I basically said this for the other guys. You definitely know your stuff. The Defender doesn’t look ‘cool’, but it performs better than it looks!

That is very true. They are aggressive, just don’t look like it.

Here's someone that spent a bunch of money on everything except his off brand tires...

A wheel off has nothing to do with the quality of the tires.

After some research, I’m really considering Mastercraft Courser CXT/MXT. We are finally getting some snow in Colorado so I’ll see how well these Pathfinder AT’s do.

Am I the lone freak running a set of Yokohama tires?

Do you ever want knock off cheap rubbers????

Yokohama is a real tire brand. Their stuff looks great. My wife has some on her pilot and they are legitimate

I love trying out new tires.

In the past 5 years, I have ran the following tires on various SUVs and pickups...

    Cooper ST MAXX
    Cooper AT/3
    Goodyear Duratrac
    Goodyear Wrangler Authority
    Milestar Patagonia MT

Best overall tire was the Cooper ST MAXX I ran on a 2014 Ram 1500. But they are expensive.

Cheapest were the Patagonia MTs and they were a surprisingly good tire. They were pretty quiet, rode nice, and gripped in everything.

Currently running the Goodyear Wrangler Authority tire on a 2019 4Runner. They are great looking, grip like crazy, but my mileage dropped by 2mpg due to the higher weight and more aggressive tread...

Next set will likely be the Falken Wildpeak AT. They get rave reviews and are pretty darn cheap.
