Hi everybody. So this is my first Toyota and I scored a super good deal on it. I have been browsing the forums ever since I bought it a few months ago and now have finally joined up so here I am.

So my friend owned this truck and on his way to work one day he hit a deer and wrecked the front passenger side. After getting an estimate for $5,100 to repair it, he was not interested in spending that money and he let the truck sit for over two years. After looking over it and talking to him he decided to sell it to me for $400. Unfortunately he didn't have the title so I had to get the VIN number verified buy an anti theft task force agent and then had to purchase a surety bond so that I can get a vehicle title. After getting the truck hauled back to my house about 75 MI away I got to work on it immediately. The mutual friend who was letting him store the truck on her property used to work for a body shop and she had already removed the grille, the passenger fender, the busted headlight, and the front bumper. Since I'm working on a very tight budget I tried to reuse the parts that were already with the truck. However, the radiator was cracked so obviously I couldn't keep that in there.

So I have replaced the following:
Radiator, headlight assemblies, headlight bulb, headlight bulb harnesses and fuel pump relay.

The truck currently has around 172000 miles and I have no idea if or when the timing belt has ever been changed so that's the very next item on my list of things to do. I've already changed the engine oil, the antifreeze, the rear differential oil, and topped up the automatic transmission.

The following are the upgrades / maintenance that I have planned:
    Aisin timing belt kit
    NGK plugs
    MSD coil packs
    Cold air intake
    Headers and complete exhaust
    Shift improvement kit
    Fresh power steering fluid
    Fresh brake fluid
    Grease ball joints
    Tint Windows

And here's a few pics of the truck.

Yeah once I get some new junkyard parts or some brand new parts I'm going to get the front end looking like it's supposed to. The radiator support was damaged and ac lines run through two holes in the radiator support so I have to take it to a shop and have the AC drained then replace the radiator support and then have the AC recharged. Then I can bolt on the fender the grille and the front bumper.

At least the interior is super clean. And I bought it from a 65 year old non-smoker who only drove it to work 10 miles each way.
