Oh what a week it's been...

Baby born on Sunday and now this today...

Hoping I can at least come out of this with a TRD Grill and maybe matching bumper caps

I was the hitter, unfortunately. Im super frustrated with myself. There was a trooper with a vehicle pulled over, as usual I look to see whats going on, look back and BAM. Was right on top of the car in front of me. Stupid, stupid, stupid move. Im just thankful no one was hurt and my daughter wasn't with me.

Yip, way too many distractions these days...if it's not cellphones, fancy nav screens, etc.... it's eyeballing some other shit that was probably caused by cellphone use?..."distracted driving", it's a curse on all of us.......
'Mirror, Signal, Maneuver" , both hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, blah, blah. Glad you are OK Bro, trucks can be repaired relatively cheaply compared to us humanoids. Take good care of you and yours AND learn from this bad situation.

You guys have any idea how I go about getting the TRD in place of the stock Chrome Sr5 grill? Never had this happen before so not sure how to fit that into the convo

Just tell the body shop you want the Pro grille. They're probably cheaper through Roman than the retail on SR5 grilles. Tell him to make it happen or you'll go elsewhere. You can probably ask for more while you're at it.

Thanks man. Yeah definitely super happy. Distinct, different look from all of the "Pro" grilles (not that there's anything wrong with them).

Highly recommend your stuff to anyone who is looking to set their truck apart!

Honestly Joe, I think the chrome looks really good on your blue with the spyders. Even though most may not agree.

Well, just got home from the body shop. He wrote up $9150 in damage, but expects to be worked down by the adjuster. I went to the most reputable place around for body/paint work. He did say he would go to bat for me and argue with the adjuster about completely replacing the fenders rather than repairing them. He doesnt want any bondo in a brand new truck. We will see. Its crucial to me that my truck looks pristine when done. I met with the owner and he's more than fine with putting in the TRD grill and the color matched corners. He even mentioned the fact he could spray the whole front bumper for me if I wanted. This made me think...hmmm

What do you guys think if the black section on the front bumper between the caps were to be color matched too? Seems like it might be unique and might look pretty good?

Good luck with the install, can't wait to see how your retros look on the truck.
Using the engine cover as a screw holder is a genius idea, I'll have to put it to use if I decide to go the same route.
