Howdy, my thread title says it all. Because I know how this works, check out the attached photos. 73071313_10162378267015384_6974882573507887104_n.jpg IMG_2372.jpg IMG_2481.jpg Screen Shot 2019-10-28 at 9.12.26 AM.jpg

I loved my Taco, and I had a ton of work into it... I've started researching and I don't think im going to go as nuts with the Tundra, based on my research so far it seems that I can add 2.5 in the front without UCAs or a diff drop(lots of info on here on whether diff drop or not is actually doing anything at all) which would then allow me to run 305/65/18s or 33s. I think I'm just going to do spacers as I'm not going to be wheeling, from what I've read the ride seems to be fine, I'm sure someone can confirm or deny that.

The crew max is a 2015 SR5 with 65k on the clock, it's immaculate.

Too bad you lost your taco, but welcome!

Also if you're set on something simple, i would get 5100s vs the spacers 11 times out of 10.

I feel your pain in 1985 when hurricane Gloria went by it dropped a 125 yr old maple tree on top of a 2 week old Cadillac Seville I had just bought. It crushed the whole top down if i had wanted a convertible i could have modded it, my father got in the car started it and it drove like a charm the insurance company declared it a total too. Good luck with the Tundra.

Thank you, this is the kind of info I'm looking for. I know a good amount of do's and don'ts in the taco world, but not sure if it all moves over to here as well.

I had 5100s installed. The shocks are only around 250 bucks but the install is expensive. Buying preassembled 6112s is about 700 bucks and it's a quick swap in the driveway. I would have saved money installing 6112s myself and if I had to do it again I'd have gone that direction. Beyond that, zero complaints with my 5100s. Took the squishy out and they do great off road

    Welcome from Maryland :hattip:

I went with 2” leveling blocks with diff drop cost me $40 !! (Temporary)
Don’t notice any change in ride and will not be off- roading my first brand new truck intill it gets some age on it !! No wide open spaces here in Md without trees and briers!!

Don’t put a lot of miles on Tundra because of take home work truck
Once I need tires I will be installing 6112/5160 combo with extras to get a 3/1 setup and 34/35” tires

JM2C- good luck with your choices

Did you end up doing UCAs also? I know when I did my taco lift I didnt do UCAs immediately and put them in later and when I did it was night and day how much smoother and quieter the ride was, Im not sure if the geometry changes as much with the Tundras.

Im looking at doing the 6112s, 700lbs springs, toytec progressive add a leaf(3 leaf pack) with 5100s in the rear. Now i've also read lots of mixed thoughts on doing a diff drop or not? Anybody want to way in?

As far as tires Im going to run 285 75 18s on the stock rims. One of the following: Falken wildpeak at3(had this on my taco, really loved them), Toyo Open Countrys, Nitto Terra Grapplers.
