    All,
Thanks in advance for any information you may have to help me with making my decision. I have a two part question.

    1. Are sway bars worth the investment? If so, is one more valuable than the other or do you need both to benefit?

    2. If I buy and would like to powder coat to match truck, does anyone know the color most comparable to Magnetic Gray?

    Thanks again guys

Hellwig makes a very beefy anti sway bar and it is already powder coated in grey:thumbsup:

Answer to OP: YES. Rear swayer is absolutely worth it.

I can't answer your color question. I run the Mama Toyota TRD red rear sway bar and enjoy the contrast of color.

Thanks guys. Should I go with front too or is rear the primary differentiator?

Tundra come with a front sway bar already, so the difference will be minimal, but the back don’t have one so when you install it, you could tell the difference.

Curious difference from the Hellwig vs TRD Pro rear? Hellwig looks to be more expensive

I replaced the front OEM sway bar with the Mama Toyota TRD (red in color) solid steel sway bar. I makes a marketable difference. Though I would say it might not be for everyone in that it tightens up the front end that much. For clarity know that I did the front sway bar swap 6 months and 12,000 miles after I added the rear TRD sway bar.

It’s just a TRD sway bar, not Pro. The pro doesn’t come with a rear sway. The Hellwig is either a thicker wall or diameter, even possibly solid. Most likely even more noticeable. I installed one on my Ram year’s ago, it’s a quality product.

Just read the instructions, and take your time, shouldn't take you more than an hour. I finessed my brake lines ever so slightly because I didn't like how close they were to rubbing the u bolts. Easy install.

Put the sway bar end link first, then hook the sway bar to the end links, after that jack the sway bar up and install the u bolt, bushing and brackets.

About one new thread per week on the “sway bar”...yes, they are very helpful...very much so provided you tow or want better handling on pavement...for the guys who want suspension travel as they drag this 6000+lb pig over off road obstacles, then you don’t want it.

I have TRD on front and rear.

    Search is your friend.

I put the red rear bar on first and discovered while it corrected handling issues it was not matched to the front(stock). So I put the red (TRD) one on the front and all was well.

Easy install. Watched a few vids on YouTube. Just remember to use the white grease on the inside of the black rubber bushings. I forgot.

My 2017 SR5 did not have sway bars and the body roll was worse than my old 1970 Cadillac I had years ago.

My new 2019 TRD Sport has the front and rear TRD bars and the difference is quite noticeable. The handling is so much tighter and firmer. I think it's worth having them.

ALL Tundra trucks leave the factory with a sway bar on the front.
