Looking for more intake noise, it's my favorite thing. And I'm broke.

Most of my other vehicles always had an air silencer or resonator that was easy to remove, but the tundra's(5.7) seems to be molded into the intake pipe (between air box and TB)

I've considered picking up a mandrel bent section of pipe and silicone pipe connectors sort of like the AFE superstock pipe, but not sure what vacuum connection goes midline on it.

I can weld, but want to do it cheap. Also open to cheap/used air intake setups. Have read mixed reviews on how much the SABM does for sound. Seems like a fair amount of work cutting the fender/box for what people says it gets you.

SABM made my engine much louder in my opinion. YMMV. I used parts from Amazon and a hole saw. Took maybe 1.5 hours and $20 and a 6-pack.

Didn’t you remove your intake and go with the sabm? Do you think it added much sound?
