08 Tundra, sounds like tranny won't shift but it's fine, getting louder.

Our 2008 Tundra in excellent condition has started making a noise that initially makes one think that the transmission is not shifting. Watch the rpm's and it's shifting fine. Passenger side bearing was replaced and both rotors because of warping. Noise seems to be getting a little louder. My mechanic is legit.Put it in neutral while driving and and increase rpm and noise doesn't change. I've heard of tire cupping but I don't think that's it ( based on noise level at low speeds.

Did you take your truck back to the "legit mechanic" to find out why he didn't test drive the truck after repairs to see if he had fixed the problem?
