Having an issue with my 2019. The light comes on warning me emergency braking is off. When that happens I also lose cruise control and auto headlight dimming. Service manager told me there is a recall on sensor. When I picked it up he said they just had to update the software to the “latest and greatest”. Well, that didn’t fix it. Anyone else have this issue?

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
I haven't heard of it. I've got a 2019 too. Take it back to the dealer.

Mine has done it 3 times. 2 times in heavy rain, and another time it was at start up and frosty out. All 3 times it took 5 minutes to reset, and all was good.

I got my 2019 this spring, in heavy snow it went out once, and another time in heavy rain.. Frustrating, as the cruise won't work when its disabled.. I had the recall done a couple months ago, since then, I've had about 4 random outages, once the BRAKE bright red light screen came on (with nothing in front of me) and the cruise went out a couple random times saying the sensor was dirty or something like that.. I'm going to see how many more times it happens before my next oil change and have them look at it then... Its never lasted more then a minute or so, but frustrating none the less...

I had that issue on my '18 when going thru extremely heavy rain, apparently water was getting inside the front sensor and causing it to malfunction, there was a recall that consisted in sealing some part of it, go to toyota owners website and input your VIN#, maybe you need that taken care of.

A friend had to have his sensor replaced, as the update didn't fix the cruise issue.

On the service receipt it says they put some sealant around part of the radiator. Maybe where the sensor is mounted. After they worked on it I drove quite a ways with no problem. When I started it after hunting the light was on again but it did go off fairly quickly. I’ll just see what happens before bringing it back. I’ve been going through some mud holes when out hunting so ordered new wheels and AT tires. The stock wheels are ugly and the all season tires not the best in mud or snow.
