It helps to have professional paint shop friends who want to make some extra $$$ before they go on vacation

Now should I keep it, or sell it and get a 2nd gen? LOL

Where else is the best place to advertise?

Edited to add: 190,000 miles 2nd owner

I placed it for sale in the forum for $10,900

No need for 3 vehicles with only 2 drivers

No need for extra insurance payments either

Baby due in January so need something bigger/newer to haul everyone and everything around in.

I could sell my 2006 and use that money towards a nice 2nd Gen.

    Decisions decisions haha

Here are some old snapshots that I have.

The roof was getting faded and some other wear spots throughout the truck

Here are a few snapshots of the NEW paint job

Here are ones my buddy sent me while “in progress”

He’s been working on the truck all week.

I just picked it up tonight. We just got home and it’s dark so I can’t do a complete 360. I’ll have to do that some other time soon.

    Next question

What should I price it at?

It has every suspension piece up front replaced. Steering rack, control arms, sway bushings, you name it....if it’s there it’s been replaced

Recent full timing service, new radiator, and full driveshaft rebuild too.

Needs nothing except a new home.

    Looks good!

Depends on your market. I’ve seen them between $10-14k asking price around here, but not in the tip top shape as yours. You’ve basically made a brand new truck that will last another 15 years. I’d buy it knowing most all the major items are done.

Your double cab should sell quickly as there is a frenzy for 4 door trucks.

Hard to give a price without knowing the mileage. I don't see that mentioned in this thread. Personally, I think the 2nd gens are the ugliest trucks on the road. They look like a cabin cruiser with wheels and get absolutely abysmal gas mileage. I would never go into debt for one of those, especially after you just sunk a bunch of money into this truck. I'd drive it another 10 years and then re-evaluate. That being said, I'm sure the 2nd gens are a lot nicer in terms of ride, power, tech, etc.

Added bonus, you can take them in the ocean if you feel like it.

    It has 190,240 miles

I’ve owned it since 2013 purchased with 101,000 miles from the original owner

I just put it for sale in the forum for $10,900

I'd keep it. Good condition, 4 door, and the perfect sized Tundra. Don't underestimate that you know the trucks history, which might be hard to know if you get a 2nd gen.

Yeah. I’ll pile on here and say I’d keep it too instead of buying a second gen. Not sure if your 1st Gen is 4WD or not, but thats the only deal breaker. Your asking price seems fair for 2WD and a steal if 4WD. Assuming frame looks good.

Zero Rust with no frame issues. It passed inspection with flying colors

It’s never been in salt or snow it’s entire life either. It’s bern in FL then GA all it’s life

Yes it is 2 wheel drive.

I’ve pretty much made up my mind to sell it guys.

The Crew Max is bigger for the family.

Also with the bigger 5.7 Engine I can tow bigger things like our 24ft enclosed trailer much better and more safely
