Bilstein 6112 settings

feel dumb for asking this lol. Bit new to truck suspension but after tons of research have figured out most of it. Going for the Bilstein 6112/5160, CMC, with 35x12.5x17. Just need some input and help on clearing up information. So I see many have the 6112 @1.9 (3rd setting) so when they say top setting are they referring to @2.5? Also noticed many are running the 1.9 with shims, is that just to remove the tundra lean? Main concern over all of this is not sure if I should run 1.9 or 2.5 setting on the 6112s. Just don't want the missing leg day look lol.

 

1.9” is third setting and 2.5” is top setting. The 1.9” setting will level the truck. Some members will put a CB shim on the drivers side to account for the Toyota lean due to the gas tank weight. I would personally go with the 1.9” setting so as to not max out the range of the shock and for a better ride. Just my 2 cents. Boss 4x4s sells the 6112 package with them already preset with the level setting you request. Top notch company.

 

Inset at 1.9 to retain a soft rise and 1” worth of shims to get a bit more height without sacrificing ride quality

 

I think fitting a 35 x 12.5 require cutting frame, bumper skid plate.
