    Good morning everyone,

I have been reading and searching without much luck. Working on my 2016 Limited truck. I have some spare switchback led's that I thought I would install yesterday but I ran into some issues. The plug is a CK style for anyone that needs to know, the ground is shared on one side of the plug, the one with the tab all the way across, and there are two 12v tabs split on the other side. I plugged one of the bulbs into the blinker/drl socket yesterday to see what they would do and they light up amber/orange and blink a real slow amber/orange when the blinker is applied. I did not see a white turn on at any point. I have seen a couple threads of guys installing some sort of switch backs but I'm not going to pay big money from them name brand bulb companies. I took to prodding around with a test light with the bulb out of the socket. I see there is 3 wires that come into it. but seems there is only 12v's on one of the pins the DRL was on and then that same pin becomes the blinker signal when the blinker is applied. I am fine with whatever electrical changes I might need to make. I do not mind cutting wires. :D

Not sure what brand you have, but I'm running VLED switchbacks inside of my 2019 Pro headlights. I had to purchase 2 small controllers with the bulbs, that are wired inline with them. I'm guessing given the way my 2016 SR5 ran the Amber DRL (no prior LED), the controller reverses something allowing the 12v current you detected.

Thanks for your reply, I will not justify spending $200 for their bulbs. The bulbs I have are off ebay are just a regular 3175 ck switchback led. Typically have 12v signal for the white bulb to be on all the time and the blinker interrupts the signal to the white and switches on the amber for blink.
