I am having an ARB Bullbar & 80lb winch installed on my 2010 CM. I assume the front of the truck will be lowered due to the added weight.

I have 5100s, can I raise the front with the shocks installed or do they need to come all the way off to move the clip?

    Thanks

Have to remove them. The clip is preloaded with spring tension

Another option if you don't want to disassemble the shocks to change the clip setting is to add a coachbuilder shim to each side. The 1/4" shim will give you about 1/2" of lift (I currently have 5100's set at the middle with 1 cb shim on each side and have had no issues).

    That seems much less invasive!

    Thank you!

Personally, it was harder for me to slip in a 1/4” spacer than it was remove/replace the coilover to swap the springs onto new shocks.
I would think you may be able to get a coil spring compressor in there without removing anything. All you would need to do is compress the spring enough to slip the clip up.

My solution was 6112's set on the second from the bottom ring
