I've been wondering if anyone has tried this or could provide some ideas. Wife is on her laptop constantly while we are on the road for a prolonged period of time. I would also like the ability to power up other devices if needed. Thanks in advance.

I have a small lighter socket powered inverter my Wive uses. Works fine for laptops. I have a 4000 watt unit I took from my 80 series Landcruiser when I sold it I keep meaning to hard wire in but get side tracked.

I am inclined to do the power inverter for the time being but would like a permanent solution. Our Tundras have a lot of storage space in that center console, which makes it tempting to just pile on stuff. Would definitely prefer a more discreet option, flush with the dash.

How much was the 4k watt power inverter? Where did you purchase?

Just saw the video. It looks like he made it custom but I like the idea very much. The link to Toyota parts is what I don't get. I don't see a plug on the drawing.

    Thanks for sharing.

It’s the stock Toyota ac type outlet. Tundras use to come with an inverter back around 09-10. There was an outlet in the rear of the console like what that guy in the video did.

    Something like this:
