First Gen Grille Mod

I am looking for a grille mod for my 2004 Tundra TRD. I would like a black mesh grille with either Toyota or Tundra (preferred) bold lettering. Can anyone recommend a source?

You can also get the lettering you want and apply it yourself. Google has lots of options.

 

I couldn't find it yesterday but somebody did a mesh grille (satoshi? Satori?) And used the "Toyota" letters from a land cruiser. Looked really good.

<<---- Heh, the black one is mine, it was taken in a Cox parking lot, and it's an e-autogrilles. After about 4 years the clearcoat is starting to bake off of it so I plastidipped the crap outta it. Google "Satoshi" tundra grill mod. I like the recessed look. And get that old school LC emblem.

 

I'm in the process of putting one of the bold white-letter FJ emblems on one of these grilles but painted to match my truck. Still need to drop it off to be painted though. Will update when it's on the truck.

They have several designs, mine was a 2mm mesh, but I don't know if they still do different sizes or just the one, now.

Where did you get the lettering

 

The emblem is from an FJ Cruiser.

 

Where can we get them for Double Cabs??

That's a proper looking grill. Where'd you get it?

 

It's an eBay grill that has been painted and the Toyota emblem epoxied to it.

Don't get me wrong that grill looks sick. My only issue is that you have to cut up the OEM/aftermarket grill shroud and epoxy and sand the f*%k out of it. but i guess it could be worth it

Grille Craft makes a nice grill. It has a high quality powder coat. Took about 2 hours total time to cut the old grill section out and screw in the new insert. Basically plug and play on 2002.

 

That looks clean. I'm a bigger fan of a recessed grill, though.
