Not that I miss having one because most of them in stock form are pretty hideous looking, but they do seem to help with gas mileage, even if 1-2mpg. I guess Toyota decided form was better than function in this case? Has anyone added a tasteful one (not from the garden section of Home Depot) that has seen any mpg increase?

Depends how low you want to go really...it's like comparing a piece of ply versus a half piece of ply rolling down the road...

They kill the approach angle, that’s for sure. One came on my dodge, and I was always scraping it when off road. I saw a stock F150 that was only a few inches off the ground. He scraped through a small dip and a stock sedan behind him didn’t.

When I was stuck in traffic on the interstate the other day I had time to look to the right at the lane adding project. Still all dirt across the barriers.

Watch an f150 work truck front air dam plow its way across the dirt track. Later was a Tundra, plenty of clearance.
