If coil overs are even a consideration, yes.

 

Before my A6 that I currently have I had a Rubicon Wrangler. Did a 4.5" full suspension lift, so I'm wary about the front strut extensions. Although I see a lot of people running them with great success. I would PREFER full coilovers to replace the fronts, and in an ideal world, I'd PREFER a whole new leaf pack in the rear to replace the stock leafs, and to not have to run the rear spacer. It doesn't seem like anyone really sells the full leaf pack, other than OME's Dakar one, which has mixed reviews.

 

Dunno as I’m still new to the tundra world, but the Tacoma’s have about a billion options for rear leaf packs. I’d check out every retailer they have and see if they carry leaves for the big boy.

Also to add, I HATED my Dakar leaf pack on my tacoma. Granted it also had an AAL but jesus it felt like bricks would’ve been smoother

 

My Dakar’s have been good so far (1.5 years). I haul a lot with it too. I’ll upgrade if they fail in time.

 

I will agree they are a tad stiff. My rear bumper helped make it smoother.

I'm working on getting my suspension changed over.

Current: fatbobs coilovers, 1 coachbuilder shim on each side so I didn't have to preload the coilover (not sure that was the best idea), +3 coachbuilder shackles. SPC Light racing upper control arms

New: Elka coilovers and shocks all with reservoirs and adjustable clickers, Alcan rear springs, +1 coachbuilder shackles, SPC Light racing ucas with upgraded ball joints (the newer version with zerk fittings on top)
Edit: ordered a a set of front and rear Wheeler's superbumps and another set of u bolts. I ordered the upgraded SPC ball joints from Wheeler's also.

This last week I got the rear completed. It's really amazing what a difference just doing the rear has made. I can't wait to get the coilovers swapped. This is my first experience with a "premium" suspension setup. If I had known there was such a difference, I probably would have skipped the fat Bob's coilovers and just put the money into a better setup.

I'm really impressed with the Alcan Springs. Definitely worth the money

I thought my softtopper and tool box and spare would be enough to smooth it out, negative. She died shortly after and the stiff rear suspension issue resolved itself

Rear has a 4" block and 2" toytec shackles
On 35x12.5 20 bf all terrains with fuel rims.
Has the sequoia headlights and 2014 interior heated and cooled seats!

At first they did in reverse at 2 full turns but took it back and they moved bumper forward about 1.25 ton1. 5 inches and now I only rub in full turn in reverse but that's only if inhold it tight all the way!!! This stage 2 pro comp lift is amazing. I can send you a picture in full turn to the right with ttire and steering wheel

7" ProComp with Rancho front adjustable shocks and springs. 35" Toyo's

 

Ok so I decided on lift/tires/wheels. I’m new to the tundra world but I saw a 3rd Gen with a 3” lift and 35x12.50r18’s with a 9.5” wheel and I believe a +12mm offset (according to black rhinos website). Will this work on our 2nd gen? I was thinking the Rough country 3.5”.
This is what I’m getting if it’s possible. Comments? Concerns?

 

I don't see them fitting. I did a 3.5" lift on 2010 and the owner ran 33x12.50 on a 20x10 and they rubbed. My 2011 truck has a 7" lift with 35x12.50 on a 20x10 with 24mm of offset and they rub when in reverse at full lock.
