    Howdy,

I figure the easiest quickest way is to add a qt of ATF, get to temp, open check port and let drain to proper level.....

Otherwise if you open and nothing drains you would have no clue how low you are.... you have to add some....

Would having an extra quart cause issues if not put under load and for the short time it takes to get to temp?

As long as you not driving and shifting gears it will be fine. Even if you did drive I bet you would just feel some real firm shifts. Normally when you overfill them they shift firmer.

Why not get your transmission up to the proper temp, then pull the fill plug and the check plug and pump in fluid till it starts coming out the check port?

This way there is no danger of overfilling.

Problem is... Temps can rise quicker than you can get all set up and if you're using the light method means you will be jumping back and forth.

But I'll see if I can do a dry run and it makes sense! Thanks for suggesting!
