If your looking for a personal plow to do the drive the best one I've used over the years is the Snowsport plow.

    https://www.agricover.com/snowsport/

I've had mine for two years and it works extremely well. It's also a lot easier on the truck compared to other plows I've used. Removing it is very easy, it's easy to store and you dont have to run a wiring harness.

They do show an electric winch option but it really isn't necessary.

Depending on your area you can pay for a lot of snowplowing before you get to the cost of a new plow. New you're looking anywhere from $3-5k depending on options.

We get anywhere between 2 to 4 feet. The heavy duty version is taller than the standard. I plow my drive that's about 50 yards long and two other driveways about the same length. Check out some of the YouTube videos and you will be convinced the plow is tall enough.

Found the company video but there are also many private videos on YouTube.

I'm in Kenora and have never had any issues with the size.

Plow starts at 1,700 for the standard and 1,900 for the HD. I'm on my third year with the plow, 3 years of plowing with a contractor would be way more costly.

I personally wouldn't put a Snowsport on my truck just because I don't want to get out and angle or pick up the plow, so the $3-5k is for your Meyer/Boss/Fisher/etc.

Like I said depending on the area. I can get my drive plowed for $20 so even at $1700, that's still 85 trips.

I've had 3 trucks with plows and skipped it this time and went with one of these guys instead.

Well there you go, you aren't far from me. We pass through Kenora often in the summer ok our way to your Ontario parks for camping. Much nicer than ours.

Time to get a longer driveway so I can justify one. To be fair, I don't even think I pulled out our snowplow last year as we didn't get as much snow as previous years

$20 bucks to do you driveway? If you have someone doing it for $20 why would even invest in a lawn tractor with a blower. Angling isn't that inconvenient. I angle only when its deep and run ones side then the other. The OP is looking for a cheap plow and this one is one of the best bang for the buck plows for personal use.

Last year we had an average amount of snow, about 2.5 to 3 feet. It's always strange to me that when we go into the city during the winter Kenora has 2 feet on the ground and Winnipeg has 6 inches.

I've got 2 acres to mow. I bought the 520, 60" deck, blower, weights, and chains for $1000.

Our average annual snowfall here in NW PA is about 375cm (I did the conversion :)) it's not uncommon for us to get 1-2ft of Lake Effect overnight. Everybody and their neighbor has a plow here and most of them are plowing for beer money. There are 13 houses within a half mile and 6 have truck plows, 4 have farm tractors, and the others have walk behind blowers.

    Boss plow. Tows trailers everyday.
I have a Boss Standard Duty on my Tundra. I plow HOAs and private homes. It can hold any plow just fine up to 700 pounds. If I had to buy another I'd go for a Western Pro 8'.

In today's world check with your insurance. As soon as you collect a payment you assume all liability for slip and falls or damage. Not saying it will happen but it only takes once to send you up the creek.

im pretty sure plowing will void factory warranty too. I would never ever plow with a tundra.

I’ll be installing the 8’ fisher hd2 off my 2500hd on my tundra. It goes in for truck side wiring on the 6th of November.
