I hooked my truck up to a car trailer and my rv but did not drive them on the road or move them just stayed stationary . The truck recognized both but I could not get the brake gain to work it just stayed at 0.0 Do you have to be moving to set the gain ??? or could there be a issue with the truck.

This sounds like the brake controller needs a reflash/update or replacement.
