I was at the local boat ramp with the empty pontoon trailer in the water. The ramp isn't steep at all. I put the E-brake on as far as I could and put it in neutral....and the truck rolled. I put it in park and loaded the boat and pulled it out. I didn't like putting all that stress on the just the trans. (Stress of running the pontoon fully up to the stops on the trailer...requires speed at times..lol) My Ford excursion would hold the truck on the same ramp with the E-brake holding it and then put it in park without all the stress just on the trans. Is that normal for the fully engaged E-brake to allow the truck to roll?

    Not nearly enough room here!
There's a great video on You-Tube about what's involved in adjusting our Park Brakes correctly. When you search for it, he's the Asian guy.

Yeah most tundra parking brakes come improperly adjusted from what I hear. Mine didn’t lock up tight until I adjusted per the above-mentioned video too.

assuming you're referring to this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p19-geSIkq4
Is it the same for 3rd gen? Also, seems like a lot of work to get that tiny gap at the top of the shoes... couldn't you pull the wheel, leave the brakes/caliper/rotor on and just spin the star wheel up a few clicks (or even all the way tight, then back off the 7 clicks)???

Thanks for the replies. I have my first 5000 mile adjustment scheduled for this Saturday and I'll mention it to them.

My '14 did this. I mentioned while in for service and they adjusted it. Now a few years later it's about time for another adjustment as I'm noticing it's not holding as strongly as it did.
