    hello all!

I have a 2007 tundra double cab sr5. I am trying to replace the window trim/weather stripping on the exterior of the truck. I’m unable to get it to snap in. The old one snaps in and out. The new one does not, so when I roll the window up, the weatherstrip lifts up with it.

I’ve tried pressing really hard, rubber mallet etc. it won’t snap in. The old part looks just like the new. I’ve watched a half dozen you tube videos.

My rear trim pieces snapped in no problem. The front is killing me. Any help appreciated!!!! Thanks.

I replaced on my 2008. There wasn’t anything special to it. Did you look in the channel of the dew wipe and make sure something isn’t screwed up?

Yes, it looks fine. Both passenger and driver side front won’t seat properly. The tears snap right it. The old side by side with the new look the same. But the old snap in with moderate pressure and the new do not.

I have nothing I can offer ya then. Are they seating down just not staying down? Like they look positioned correctly when installed?

Yes, they look perfect they just don’t snap in. It makes the trim move up when I roll the window up. I put the old back I. Just to check and they snap right in and hold. Thanks anyways!
