So I ordered new yellow fog light led bulbs but I found out that the stock fog leds are a sealed beam/bulb style with heat fins. Can’t just swap the bulbs.

Is there a OEM yellow swap available?

Didn’t wanna go all out to a complete different led system (rigid industries) with different mounts unless that is only option to change color.

    Thanks

The led oem fogs are sealed, the halogens can replace bulbs.

You could find some halogen reflectors and swap bulbs in

I see. So if I want color change options switch the whole housing to a halogen style or a complete different led aftermarket setup? Hmm... dang it I just wanted a simple color change haha

I'm sure you could find someone on here letting theirs go after upgrading to led.

    I sold mine months ago...

Just watch the selling forums on here.

Depends on what you are looking for ultimately. The stock fogs are meh at best.

Do you want functionality? Or just the look of the lens while parked, with a slight bit of functionality?

I went the second route.. as I don’t do any off-roading really and driving with super bright yellow fogs is just asking for a ticket even being an adult in a full size truck with car seat in the back.

Bought a lamin-x sheet for $9, some time, and it’s a completely reversible mod.

But I've heard LED bulbs don't work well with halogen housings, that they (led) don't shine correctly???

Did you take off the plastic housing to apply the film? If so can you explain how. Thanks

Yellow tint over the lens. Might have to try it, for a few bucks it’s worth a look.
    Thanks

Depending upon what type of led you buy...

If you buy some cheapo Amazon/ebay bulb with led chips all over it, it will probably shine light all over the place and blind everyone.

But if you buy a good, quality brand that mimics the halogen factory light, it will shine like stock only brighter and to the color in which you choose.

But he wants yellow so, since it is a low color on the spectrum; the scatter won't be too significant.

Yes. The housing pops right out of the bumper with a plastic trim tool. Flip it over (on a soft surface) there are a few screws on the backside of the plastic bracket and housing.
If you remove it, you have full range to try the lamin-x with LOTS of room for error.

    Lamin-x One 4 inch x 8 inch Universal Film Cover (Color : Yellow) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P2EZFI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_7UaLDb07756TK

Measure it in half and cut it. There is enough to cover bought lens’ if they are removed from the housings.

I can post better photos tomorrow if requested.

Did the lamin-x. Works great. Easy to apply. Start in the middle and do little circles to the outside. Also, added some zip ties to stop the fog vibration bounce. Thanks for the tips.

Very cool. Not in my budget right now but if I like this color , I’ll definitely check them out down the road. Thanks

Came out pretty good. I like the yellow against the cement color.
