    Yes, people do that all the time to anyone who they know is living illegal in this country. Down here in Florida they extort undocumented immigrants (UI) in housing, transportation, and many of the essential services, just because they know that the UIs won’t go to law enforcement to report it. Because they fear that they would be detained and turned over to ICE.
