Hey looking for some input on rear suspension. I’ll be doing the Fox 2.5 with resi’s up front and Icon UCA. I’m mixed in whether to do the 2.0 or 2.5 in the rears.

Will be looking to do a 3/2 lift instead of level with all the weight and 35’s.

I don’t wheel hard, but I don’t want to get to a place I can’t go if I’m on an adventure is my main concern (which is a possibility). I have an RTT and kitchen setup (15 gallons of water, shower etc [lots of weight]) in the summer. Will do either Alcan or Deavers if it sags. Any big reason to do the 2.5 over the 2.0?

Thanks in advance! Hope that’s enough info for input!

The size of the shock won't keep you from "going somewhere". The larger shock will help you resist shock fade from overheating during long fast runs (shock will lose some damping capability and ride a little rougher when it heats up).

If you take your time and stop for breaks you should be able to go anywhere you could go with a 2/5in shock.

Got it thanks. So if it were you would you just bite the bullet and go with the 2.5 and reservoir to prevent having to take breaks? We have some pretty epic trips planned this summer.

Writing this I think I’m answering my own question. Haha
