Hi all! Brought my truck to dealer for 2013 tundra with 4hi light flash and VSC light permanently on. I’ve had actuator issues before and had repaired at no cost at dealer. Now Dealer says my entire transfer case could be bad or actuator rods are shot. Repair cost of $5000-$7000 dollars! My truck has 100,643 miles. What are my options? Do I call Toyota to complain? I can’t imagine having to replace entire transfer case at 100,000 miles. Any help would be appreciated?

I agree! I took my truck home and I complained to service manager about price and fact that I’ve had truck in for this issue while under warranty and they said it was fixed but keeps happening now that I’m out of warranty it’s going to cost 7 grand! He said nothing they can do but will submit complaint to Toyota and see if they will do anything. I will follow up by calling Toyota directly today.

Get a code reader and find out what codes are popping up. It seems that those lights can turn on when you have a bad ABS sensor at the wheels.
