All, I know there have been other posts for dash speaker replacements on platinum and 1794 editions with JBL system, but after reading through them I found all either get off topic or make references to items no longer available. I have reached out to tech12volt, but he doesn’t have anything at this time. Please provide examples of your speaker choice and what you did to make it work. Pics are always better for reference

I just replaced my head unit with an Alpine ILX-F309 using maestro interface and adapter connectors. This is a nice setup and love it so far. Sound improved noticeably. I am running factory JBL speakers on the factory amp. what I have noticed is the dash speakers will pop when I crank it up (over powered). I want to replace only the dash speakers at this time to something that either fits or only requires slight modifications to dash and can handle the power a little better. I am not against modifications/fitting different size speaker, so long as it doesn’t affect/interfere other vehicle appurtenances (A/C VENTS, dash controls, etc) and will be covered up with factory covers.

I plan to upgrade the sound system further down the road, but for now only interested in setting up the dash ones. Besides dome tweeters, I am looking for ideas on what I could do to replace the center, left and right speakers in my dash.

Please provide some input to help me, I am finding limited information. Thanks!
