Been doing a few things little by little on my 05. Just got the Bilstein 5100’s all the way around and a toytect 1/2” top plate on the front. Put some Procomp 41 Phasers, 17x9, and 285/70-17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Looks great. What's the offset on those wheels and any issues with rubbing?

Thanks! 12 offset. No issues so far. Haven’t got to drive it much, but rides great and drives awesome!

Yeah the 5100s have transformed my truck's ride for sure. Glad to hear you haven't rubbed, makes me more confident to try 285s when I buy tires next time.

Mind you his wheels are 5mm outboard more than stock 17" wheels (+18 offset).

Yeah my XDs are actually a 0 offset so even further out. Suspension clearance won’t be the issue, might be trimming the mud flap.

Yeah I was looking at the wrong wheel size when I found 12, my wheels actually have a 6 offset. I don’t need to do anything to the mud flaps the way it sits now. I did remove the front ones before I put the lift on.

Yeah I've been kicking around the idea of removing them anyway. It's a mall-runner so not like I'm really saving any rock chips by keeping them.

I have the same truck and also have the 5100's installed. Next step is the wheels and the ones you have installed are one of my choices so great to see how they look. Did they change the ride going w bigger tires? Also, can you confirm the size of your wheels? There is some confusion in the posts as to exactly what size they are. Thanks for posting.

The wheels are 17x9, and yeah the ride changed a little but not to much. The truck drives perfect. Haven’t had any issues since I did the work. Still loving this setup.

How would you describe the change? Slower? More nimble? Less nimble? I had an Acces cab which I loved. So I decided I would love the DC and ordered it with 20” wheels. Was really disappointed bc it drove completely different and much slower than the AC I came out of. I’m hoping that going down in tire size my liven my truck up some. The wheels I have now are 20”x9”. A lot of rubber on the road.

I’m not really sure how to describe it. When I bought the truck it had old soft suspension and stock tires, it drove soft I guess. Not sure the difference because I’ve never had the AC but I love my truck and am super happy with everything I did to it.

Thanks. My truck is at shop now getting front differential rebuilt. Bad Spider Gears. When I get it back I will make a decision on wheels and tires.

I believe it’s on the 1-3/4” notch (not entirely sure since I didn’t personally install them) and after doing research on the tire size I wanted most had said to avoid rubbing I’d need a little extra lift. I’m happy I went with it, it’s the perfect height and I have zero rubbing
