    HELLO!
My first thread on the forums and I'm excited to be searching for a 1st gen 4WD Tundra in automatic with a front bench seat.Reason for wanting a 1st gen Tundra with a front bench seat is because my father used to have one when I was a kid. I miss sitting between my parents when we drove around town and I wanted that bench seat for my baby boy who is growing up! I also am looking for a 4WD model as well.

I tried looking for my answers to the questions I have in the search but to no avail.

1st question: Are front bench seats available in double cabs?(I'm sure they are not and is only available with the access cab, but just to be sure.)
Also are front bench seats available in the TRD Off-Road trim?(I'm searching on craigslist and I saw a few with the bench seat and the TRD Off-Road vinyl.)
2nd question:Is there a particular model year thats better than others?

Thank you all in advance for your help!

Welcome to the forums! Good luck with your search. To answer your questions:

    1. There are no front bench seats available in a double cab. I can't speak to if you can get an access cab TRD with a bench seat though.
    2. Look for a 2005 or 2006. Those years had a VVTI 4.7 which had about 30-40 more HP than 2000-2004 trucks.

Yes, I have a front bench and the TRD package.

I don't think any of the double cabs have a bench, only bucket seats. If you want the bench you'll have to get an Access Cab.

Thanks so much guys! I appreciate the help and the speed you guys replied!

Would the bench seat also only be available in the SR5 trim and not available with the Limited?

    Cheers!

Now that I'm not sure. I would try to find pictures of used ones online to see if any Limited's have a bench seat.

When I was searching for my Tundra I couldn't believe how many bench seat trucks were out there! I would doubt that the Limited ever came in a bench seat configuration.

I saw a Cl ad for a Double Cab that had a bench seat. It was a base model with steel wheels, so it may have been an an option, but they will be incredibly rare.

Don't forget the 2005 and 2006 have a 5 speed (auto) transmission as well.

Hello and Welcome from Colo. I have a 2002 Tundra TRD and SR5 trim and it does have the front bench seat.
