Sorry to here about your troubles. Certain vendors are getting hard to trust these days. It's not only in the truck industry, I've seen other companies/owners really screw people over. Smaller companies are going to have a real hard time being trusted. I really wish no one else has issues. But I'm glad you guys are sharing your experiences and letting other aware of what's going on.

 

Just wanted to thank you guys for the very valuable feedback for those in the market. Those are sharp looking sliders, jr after reading all the above, there’s no way in hell I’d be doing business with a group like that.

I was in on the the first round group buy (last one in). I expected that I would be waiting some time for the sliders, so I didn't get frustrated with the length of time to get the order. I talked to Mac and found out how small his operation is. But his quality is outstanding. I think the group buys took off and he got swamped with the petty things (like emails) and just wanted to fabricate. In the end, I received my kick-ass sliders, in perfect condition and I love them. I hope Mac can find a way to balance the quality of his work, with the burden of running the business. There will unfortunately be some cases, like here in this thread, that put a damper on that but I don't think it's something to crucify him for. We don't know what is happening on the other side, and I hope things get resolved for everyone that has orders. But regardless, the wait was worth it for me.

 

I guess I was fortunate. Mine arrived on time with hardware and in great shape. I really like them.

 

I don't think anyone is trying to crucify him. I was trying my hardest to not put out these negative reviews, I gave him ample time to figure it out, my wife is actually the one who became fed up before I did (she's right). There was another thread where Mac would complain to his customers for simply being customers. It's not our fault he's are running a small operation. It's not our fault he's not able to quickly respond to emails. IF he doesn't want to be busy, then he shouldn't be promoting group buys with no way to actually follow through. If he wanted to maintain a positive relationship with his customers and these forums, then he should be letting people know how his side of things are going. If he doesn't want to respond to emails and interact with customers, then he should find someone to do his emails for him. That's how business's work. ....and now I'm stuck with $1,500 of metal with no way to install them. It's quite frustrating, especially since I do go off-roading monthly and I spent a lot of money to protect my vehicle. I recommend no one buy products from him. He has no idea how to operate a business and I don't think he actually wants to, he just wants to fabricate and make money, he should get a job working for someone who wants to run a business the right way and put the skills he does have to work in a manner that suites him.

 

I completely see your side, and the legitimatecy of your frustrations. You have every right to be based on your situation... It sucks. I was simply adding that every order did not go bad and his product is a high grade product. Hoping that this will prompt him to realize if he can improve (which he needs to) it will greatly benefit his already successful business to a higher standard of customer care, not only products. I love my sliders and I'm fortunate to get through without issue. As you said towards the end of the your post... He should hire "front desk" personnel to interact with people, while he sticks to his brilliance, which is out back in the shop welding, fabricating, and not getting angry at us for ordering his product!

 

If that's the price, I'm sold on a set.

Correct, no hardware or brackets. I was really hoping the hardware I paid for would show up eventually before I start having to fabricate parts (unfortunately, most of my tools are of the wood variety) and buy bolts, but I may becoming desperate here very soon. So any and all advice is well received.

You can also file a BBB complaint against them. They currently have a D+ grade. ( can’t imagine why)

 

He finally sent me the hardware several weeks back and I got them mounted. I am happy with the product, but not happy with the customer service. It’s a bummer for him/them because Im planning to buy more armor and I’m definitely not going through P&P.

I had a bit of a shipping issue with them when I purchased the sliders during a group buy. They got here and were in good shape and all hardware was accounted for. They have been solid, the powder coating was not great and I have touched up some spots that are non contact areas. But as a slider they have been good
