My house is overrun with brown recluse spiders, but if my backyard looked like that, I'd be moving!!!

They are really common in central VA. I see copperheads as often as non- poisonous snakes. We get dogs with copperhead bites on a fairly regular basis. The bites are rarely lethal but their venom causes severe skin reactions, infection, and pain.

I'm the opposite, snakes don't bother me at all. But if I found a single brown recluse in my house I would burn it TO THE GROUND!

It's a Green Cat Snake. Common in Thailand, harmless, eats geckos.

Haha. Funny. There’s a cobra show down the road. On the hour, next hour is crocodile show. It rotates all day long.

I'm so glad we don't have snakes or poisonous spiders here in Alaska! Anything that could kill you up here will make a hell of a lot of noise crashing through the brush.

Wow! That's pretty awesome. King snakes are cool and definitely a snake that's good to have around.

Its funny because I used to catch snakes (non-venomous) a lot as a kid. Fairly fearless about it. But at 46 I am way less likely to grab hold of one!

She fine, wife let dogs in and saw two drops of blood on Lacy's head and said snake bite. I said no way it was just nothing. She keeps on and I said let me get a flashlight and walk around the yard. Well I see the back half of that headless snake sliding under leaves back under the fence. Well straight to Emergy vet for anti-venom in less than 1 hour. Dog 3 pounds, if she wasn't white for the wife to see to TINY specks of blood, if the snake had left sooner I would have killed her for not believing wife, if the anti-venom wasn't in stock she'd be dead. Also if I didn't have the means to pay about $3000 total before treatment she'd be dead. But it wasn't even an option.

At 48, I'll still try to catch them, I'm just slow as hell and usually unsuccessful
