here's one of them..................."400 million for a new grille, headlights, and third hood scoop???" lol

another.........."Well that’s because they use 5 lug axles and a floppy frame. If they fix those things, they might have a chance."

one more..............."Over the years I've read hundreds of forum posts indicating what Tundra owners would like to see in an updated truck. 10 speed, diesel, heavy duty specs for cargo and towing, a crew cab with a 6-1/2' bed, updated technology and of course better MPG. I don't think I've ever read someone wanting a hybrid. I'm thinking that if there isn't a non-hybrid option to better the 5.7, a lot of potential buyers will be turned off."

I’m always amused by the comment sections when the topic is full size trucks ... it’s always just like this from the public and the critics: the Tundra is ancient, has all these flaws, no one wants one, they don’t sell many, etc etc etc. The car magazines put the Tundra last in the comparison tests against any brand new truck. But pick up any “best used truck” guide from Consumer Reports, JD Powers, Edmunds, etc and the Tundra is always at the top of the list. Even at 100,000 miles, people will still shell out stupid money for a clean well kept Tundra because everyone knows odds are it’ll last forever. The 5.7/6AT might be old but it’ll go down as one of the legendary combos for reliability and durability... same with the T4R 4.0/5AT. I’m sure the “new” design will be panned as old technology right away, hopefully Toyota will keep the same formula of older tech and legendary durability. That’s what keeps us loyal customers coming back despite the lack of all the newest gizmos.

My new to me 14 had 104K on it. Didn't even blink an eye. Had full maintenance records.
Lots of Toyota truck hating big 3 fan boys out there making questionable comments. My landlord/friend keeps making comments about the Tundra, even after getting his Ford back from the shop after dumping another $1700 in repairs on it... lol

When my 07 got rearended the frame flexed up a bit on driver's side which probably prevented it from getting permanent damage.
