    Let me start by saying I never had my speedometer calibrated after the 37s and I have not had it done with my 40s lol.

    I took a trip from Houston to Lake Charles over the weekend to get my head kicked in by the BlackJack dealers, but I was curious how fast I was going on the way back. On State Highway 73, the speed limit is 75mph from Winnie all the way into Port Arthur. I've noticed the truck seems to work much harder if I get the needle between the 70-75mph range. Even with that posted speed limit, I kept the truck around 65-67mph to keep the RPMs lower. **Full Disclosure: I am very much aware there is a difference in the speedo and how fast I'm actually goin, hence why I am going about this post.

    I don't have a GPS, but my girl pulled up the WAZE app on her phone and we tried to check the speed based on their in app GPS. Not sure on the accuracy, but figured it'd give me an idea. Below is some speeds we gauged based on the speedo and what it translated to via the WAZE app:
    60mph-->73MPH
    65mph-->79MPH
    70mph-->86MPH
    75mph-->91MPH

    I typically keep the truck at 60-62mph on the highway to work as it keeps the RPMs down below 1800rpms and I go with the flow of traffic. Even when I was stock, I never got the truck around 90-100mph.

    What have you guys done to re-calibrate? I honestly don't think a recalibration is necessary at all and don't see a benefit to it other than actually being aware of your speed lol:rofl:

    This. It's a relatively easy install. Think I put it on my build thread if you end out going that route.

    Yes it does recalibrate your speedometer, you basically pick the tire size you want to use and load it. As I remember it was plug and play.
