    Interesting.
I’m a little surprised and disappointed. Don’t think I will get rid of my Tundra though.

It’s a real old design. In first place... the ram with the newest design. It would be odd to expect anything different in reality I would imagine.

Still safer than any vehicle I’ve ever owned. It’s definitely a step up in safety from my 64 Oldsmobile. I bet it’s safer than my 79 Toyoya Corona, 85 CRX, 97 f150, 02 Ram, 06 TrailblazerSS.

That poor rating is rough. I wonder how the 2021 will score.

I can't complain about my 2010 very good safety ratings when new. New designs should get better. Tundra is not way off the average even in 2019 for the aging design.

Strange that headlights are rated so poor for most trucks. I would think that would be easier than chassis integrity, but what do I know.

The answer is simple: Don't drive right into bridge abutments, telephone poles or other immovable objects. That has worked well for me for the past 58 years.

I'm not worried about the Tundra.

Having actually been in a bad accident with my Tundra, I wonder about these "crash tests." Here is a real world scenario. All 5 of us walked away, the other driver was drunk and high, she left in the ambulance. I bought another Tundra as soon as the insurance got me my settlement. Yes, a friend took us to the hospital to get checked out, but besides whiplash we were all fine.

I believe the LED lights on the newer 18+ satisfy the headlight requirements, but aren't standard so don't get tested.

That's the way I felt after mine as well. Safest vehicle I've owned. IMG_20181126_074943195.jpgimpact swung me around 180 in the street. Didnt feel a thing.

July 5, 2019 was a bad day for Tundras on this forum. I think we lost 3-4 in accidents. The only way to get a tundra off the road, hit it at 60+.

Yup, it was not a good day. I remember seeing those post. Mine was in November and I think there was another 1-2 of us that month. Goes in 3s I guess
