Anyone here know or have the link of the video for the AMCI Certified Test for the 2007 Tundra against the other trucks? This is a snippet of it:

    I think it’s 3.5 minutes long?

Annnddddd we still have the same engine and brakes, while the other manufacturers have pushed the limits of engineering a few times over. I would imagine the tundra would be dead last in that test now. I still love my tundra and its reliability, simplicity, power, function, and resale. And I wouldn't trade it for any other truck, well maybe a GM HD diesel but I have no purpose for that kinda truck.

Yeah I’ve thought the same. I’m sure they must have something up their sleeves for future Tundra, but why fix something that ain’t broken.

I honestly look at the capability of the new Rav4 Hybrid and think that they are planning on something similar for the Tundra. Owners of that platform are seeing 40 - 50MPG in an SUV. Now plug into truck with a larger gas motor, some weight savings and you just might have a recipe for a sweet truck that get's 30+ MPG.
