I’m a new member and I love my new-to-me 2002 Tundra. I use it to deliver mail rurally in Oklahoma and have recently done something dumb. I bundle mail with large rubber bands and when I take them off of the bundles I put them on the column shifter. I was trying to remove a too-large amount all at once and pulled the knob off the stalk. I see the wires for the O/D button but don’t know how to reinstall the knob so that the button is functional.

    any help out there?

    TIA!

Hi I think that shifter is made into 1 piece not serviceable that switch it’s a on and off switch for the OD it might be possible to put it all back together then glue the Handel back onto the stalk unless it has a little pinch bolt holding it onto the stalk I couldn’t find much info on it. But post some pics so we can see. Now replacing the shifter assembly is not that hard all you have to do is remove steering column covers and the stalk is being held by a pivot screw and that wire connector
