I know most everyone on here does color matched everything but I’m still a big fan of chrome on the Tundra. I’m considering doing only a color matched front bumper and keeping the rest of the chrome. I searched thoroughly and can’t find another Tundra with just that.

Let’s see pics of what you have color matched while keeping some chrome!

I think the idea of matching the front bumpers to the rear makes sense. I never understood why some trucks have chrome front and rear and some only chrome front. I would also try to find a new grill insert to replace your chrome insert, either black, silver, or pro style. Then you'd be left with a chrome grill surround, mirror caps, door 8and badges, that's a good amount of chrome, which I think looks good on white trucks.

Only chrome on mine is the center shift trim that blinds the shit out of you

That's a 10 minute fix. I painted mine, but then plasti dipped it. The dip looks better and is holding up better. Also do the shifter bezel while you're at it

I installed color matching door handles, and I have a color matching grille on the way. I remain undecided about what to do with the chrome front bumper, I'll wait to see how it looks with a white grille.

I thought I read that the blind spot monitoring system gets messed up with the chrome rear bumpers, so the color matched rears have the BSM option, and the chrome rears do not.

I kept the chrome grill surround, added a TRD Pro grill and looking to match the bumper caps.

I’ll snap a photo when I leave work tonight

Color matched my grill when I made my grill insert. Color matched bumpers are next.

I color matched my mirrors, handles and bumper ends. I was planning on doing the Pro grille, but I like it the way it is after doing what I have so far.

Yes!!! @HappyGilmore that is exactly what I’ve been wanting to see. Your truck looks insanely nice, really like how you did everything. Where did you purchase your front bumper covers? I see you have those sensors as well

Thanks for the compliments! I was in your same boat when i bought the truck. I couldn't find anyone that had just done bumpers and no grille. I like it, I think the chrome makes the front grille look bigger. It kind of takes away the big grille look when the surround gets color matched. But I do like the Pro color matched set up as well. Just not worth the money to me because of the sensor stuff to deal with.

I had the chrome ends stripped and painted white. I didn't like the idea of stick on covers, and they weren't available yet. But I have to say now that the covers are available, they look pretty good in pictures people posted. Hopefully they are durable for them as well.

Search for bumper cover group buy on here.

@HappyGilmore Couldn’t agree more! I love the 18-19 Limited grill too, my brother always comments that it looks like a semi truck haha. Now I’m curious to see how the middle portion of the bumper in white would look with your setup. I might just go for it. That was my original vision, having the whole entire bumper in white and leaving all the rest of the chrome. I do like the handles and mirrors in white a lot after seeing yours though

If you're looking to go all white on the bumper, see if you can find a bumper from someone that has a Platinum that put on an offroad bumper. That will come with the ends white, as well as the black part white.

Purchased my front and rear OEM bumper covers from Sparks Parts..one day I plan on color matching front grill. Just not sure if I want to go with PRO grill or keep the honeycomb.

I would love to color match the chrome bumper corners. But those textured black covers have been tempting me.

How do you guys think it would look with an all black bumper? The rear one is color matched.

@biebs96 i think since you have such a dark color getting black covers would look pretty awesome and compliment those tow mirrors nicely

Now you’ve got me thinking. I don’t want to ditch the chrome surround. Looks like a big mouth or something.

Additional thoughts... keep the rear color matched or have them black out as well.
