    “One in a melon” / Watermelon Kolsch | 5.3%

Aromas of watermelons, with a hint of watermelon taste. Needs more melon in it, but it’s certainly refreshing!

“Stave the Day” | Double oaked bourbon barrel with cherries | 10%

Aromas of dark chocolate cherries. So good!
Tastes of dark chocolate with a small hint of oak bourbon mixed with a few cherries.

Definitely recommend for one or two. More than that is too sweet for me. Solid brew!

Is there any home brewers here?
Recently acquired some used equipment and planning to start brewing. Sister and BIL are long time home brewers in Denver. It’s another retirement plan I’ve had for over a decade and finally getting it together. Planning to go with extract brewing (at least to start). Preference is for traditional ales, porters and stouts. Don’t really get excited by all the flavored, fruity stuff. Interested in feedback and suggestions for a novice brewer.

There's nothing better than taking a grain and turning it into the final product that is beer. I do home brew and have tons of fun with it. I have a lime lager on draft and I get to open a pumpkin pie Amber ale which I made last year this Halloween.

When my first kid is born I intend on making a Mead and sharing it with them on their 21st birthday.

Alone in his laboratoryone stormy night, a madman crossed an imperial stout with pumpkin to create this fine frankenbrew. How good is it? Well, scary good.

Malty with a nice hint of pumpkin and spices and a light aftertaste of coffee.
    Spicey malt smells.
I'm enjoying this one. I'd buy it again!

I feel that way when December roles around and I cant get anymore pumpkin.
That's way I'm stocking up on it. Then when I come home after 2 months I have some.

    X-RAY IPA
    Soulcraft Brewing
    Salida, CO

    Brewery Fluff
    ABV: 7% IBU's: 84
X-Ray is an IPA that blends classic American hop varieties with new school American and Australian hops. Tight bitterness, huge citrus flavor and aroma are carried by American barley. The malt composition is light and accented by a small amount of caramel malt. X-Ray is medium bodied with a clean hop finish. Craft beer drinkers are greatly responsible for shaping the evolution of American IPA’s. With so many new hop varieties available, the modern era of IPA’s is here!

This is the most hoppy I have had yet. Lots of hops and citrus. I like the octane level. Even with the bitterness, I am liking it. It does leave an after taste.
Things I can taste beside hops, grapefruit and maybe pineapple.
