Was wondering if I could swap wheels / tires from a 2018 to 2015 and re-program to get the TPMS to work? I know the 2018+ sensors are different, but haven't been able to find out if they will work on an older Toyota.

My wife needs new tires on her 2015 Sequoia again (4th time in 56k!). I have a set in the garage, but was thinking of giving her my wheels / tires off my 2018 Tundra. I do like the wheels she has and wanted to powdercoat them and try them out on my rig. I don't want to pull the sensors out of those wheels and do the swap thing and risk the techs damaging the wheels. If I could just install them on the Sequoia and re-program I'd be golden.
