our 04 Toyota Tundra is consistently overheating when idling in traffic. We have replaced the water pump and timing belt, the thermostat, the fan clutch, bled the coolant, and most recently we took it to the Toyota dealership and after three hours they told us, yes it’s overheating but they don’t see any reason why. Said the radiator was in good shape but we could try to replace it just to see. It will overheat and then as soon as we begin to drive the gauge will drop back down. Idk if it’s related or not but most recently the ac is not blowing cold either. We have checked and recharged the freon, with no change. I’ll add that before replacing the water pump we did have a significant leak. However, since we’ve made that change there is no more leaking but still overheating. Any ideas?

Is the fan on in the proper direction?
I believe it should pull rather than push.

Would make sense if you changed the fan clutch and put the fan on backwards. That would account for the AC no longer blowing cold.

Is your fan shroud still on? A missing or damaged fan shroud would l cause those symptoms.

It sounds as thought the fan isn’t pulling air through the radiator and AC condenser. Maybe a bad fan clutch even though it’s new.
