I recently bought my son a 2002 Tundra V6 5spd. It's a base truck , so no tach. I got a cluster from a V8 truck with a tach but since it's set for a V8 , it reads high . Does anyone know how I can go about setting it for the V6? There is not a potentiometer within the tach itself. From other research, I think the tach gets its signal from the odo. Tested this by swapping the odo between the 2 and the tach didn't work at all. Only difference I see in the odo boards is 2 components. And probably data in a chip for the mileage.

So, I wonder if the odo would interchange from a Tacoma cluster to a Tundra cluster? High chances of probability. Wished I looked at the Tacoma when I was at the junk yard.
